Seguro conoces algo de su trabajo y si no checa el video Hollywood de Madonna, el cual tiene bastante influencia de este genio de la moda — tanto así que la chica material fue demandada por plagio—.
Con motivo de la sección Something to rememeber quiero presentarles a uno de mis fotógrafos de moda favoritos: Guy Bourdin. Seguro conoces algo de su trabajo y si no checa el video Hollywood de Madonna, el cual tiene bastante influencia de este genio de la moda — tanto así que la chica material fue demandada por plagio—.
De origen francés en sus inicios participo en varias galerías y exposiciones con dibujos, pinturas y fotografías. Su primera incursión en la moda ocurre en la portada de Vogue Francia en febrero de 1955. 
Su trabajo más aclamado (propio de los 70´s y 80´s ) está lleno de tintes del mundo surreal, erotismo y elegancia. Sus fotografías ofrecen una visión más artística y provocativa. 
En cuanto a la publicidad su primer trabajo ocurrió con la campaña de la marca de calzado Charles Jourdan, además de su primera editorial de fotografía de moda en las revistas Harper’s Bazaar y Photo. 
Posteriormente realizó editoriales de moda para Vogue en su edición italiana y británica. También colaboró en campañas publicitarias para los diseñadores Gianfranco Ferré y Gianni Versace , Emmanuel Ungaro además de la marcas Loewe y Chanel.
Muere a los 62 años dejando un amplio legado en el mundo de la fotografía de moda, el cual ha sido apeciado por otros talentos como Nick Knight David LaChapelle. Bourdin es una digna joya de admiración que con su perspectiva de la fotografía cambió de la percepción artística del mundo de la moda.
